Among more than 300 ancient burials, discovered inside this hill, only some of them have inscriptions and bas-reliefs. Among the identified ones there are tombs of such historical personalities of the New Kingdom as the High Priest and Nomarh of Nekhen Renini, Setau, the valiant naval officer Ahmes (the son of Abana) and the mighty Nomarch of Esna and El-Kab Paheri.
